eBooks

Similar in intent, eBooks and white papers are both long-form content marketing materials used to establish thought leadership. But the similarities end there. While white papers have been around since the early 1900s, eBooks are created for today’s online audience. eBooks are interactive, entertaining and highly viral in social media channels.

Embedded in the text of your eBook can include links to:

  • Screencasts or video tutorials
  • Audio interviews that support your eBook conclusions
  • Your blog
  • Third-party research
  • Webinar registration forms

eBooks also differ from white papers in design. They include larger text, plenty of images and are typically presented in landscape format. eBooks are designed to be read on screen, making full use of their interactive nature.

If your marketing strategy includes social media (which it should), an eBook would be a valuable addition to your content marketing toolbox.
